Ecomail is committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016. With this new regulation, we are strengthening our personal data protection policy to ensure that our users' data is collected and used in a transparent, confidential, and secure manner.
Acceptance of these terms and conditions (See the GTC) assumes on the part of the internet users that they possess the necessary legal capacity for this, or failing that, they have the authorization of a guardian or a curator if they are incapacitated, of their legal representative if they are minors, or that they hold a mandate if they are acting on behalf of a legal entity.
Our Personal Data Protection Policy describes how www.ecomail.fr processes the personal data of visitors and users (hereinafter 'Users') while they browse our site www.ecomail.eco (hereinafter the 'Site'). The Personal Data Protection Policy is an integral part of the General Terms of Use of the Site.
www.ecomail.eco constantly pays attention to the data of our Users. We may thus make changes, additions, or updates to the Personal Data Protection Policy. We invite you to regularly review the latest version in force, available on our Site. If major changes are made, we will inform you by email or through our services to allow you to review these changes before they take effect. If you continue to use our Services after the publication or the sending of a notice concerning changes made to the Personal Data Protection Policy, it means you accept the updates.
When you use our platform and/or when you register, we collect and process personal data concerning you such as: your last name, first name, address, postal code, city, country, email, IP address, email address, phone number.
Your email is collected in order to be able to send you service delivery emails.
Your name, first name, address, postal code, city, country, and information about your company are collected as part of the billing for the services we offer. This allows us to issue invoices compliant with the current regulations.
Your phone number is collected so that you can be reached by technical support as well as the service managing 'abuses' in case, for example, your email account is hacked. Technical support may need to call you to facilitate the resolution of an issue encountered on our hosting infrastructure.
Your IP address is collected in order to comply with current legislation in France. In the event of a judicial requisition, we must be able to transmit it to the requesting French authorities.
The personal data collected about you on our platform is intended for ECOMAIL's own use and may be transmitted to subcontractor companies that ECOMAIL may call upon in the context of executing its services. They may also be transmitted to comply with any judicial requisition, subpoena or any other similar governmental or judicial requirement, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
ECOMAIL does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes under any circumstances.
If ECOMAIL or all or part of its assets are acquired by a third party, the data in our possession will, if applicable, be transferred to the new owner.
We transfer and store your data in the European Union.
The subcontractors concerned by data sharing are:
ILLIAD: our hosting servers and backups of our infrastructures are done on machines located in the ILLIAD data centers. The technical data (emails) are thus backed up on machines belonging to the company SCALEWAY, part of the ILLIAD group. The Ecomail team is the only one with access to these backups, which are encrypted on disk.
ECL DIRECT SAS (Groupe AMARRIS direct): Your personal data may be transmitted to the company ECL DIRECT in the context of accounting and the establishment of our accounting obligations. Invoices containing your personal information are sent directly to the accounting department of ECL DIRECT.
MAILCHANNELS: we use the services of MAILCHANNELS for outgoing email routing and outgoing spam blocking. The content of the emails is not kept or stored. Emails are analyzed to block potential spam. The outgoing email routing servers are located in SWITZERLAND and comply with EU standards.
CRISP: we use Crisp's services for handling technical support. Conversations with technical support are stored by the service along with the correspondence email address, first name, and last name. Crisp is a French company based in France.
ECOMAIL applies generally recognized technological and organizational security measures so that the personal data collected are not lost, misused, accessed, modified, or disclosed by unauthorized third parties unless the communication of these data is required by current regulations, particularly at the request of a judicial authority, police, gendarmerie, or any other authority authorized by law.
The security of personal data also depends on the Users. Users commit to maintaining the confidentiality of their username and password and also commit not to share their account and to report to ECOMAIL any unauthorized use of said account as soon as they become aware of it.
The data stored in the database (name, first name, address...etc) is encrypted to make it unreadable by anyone or any entity without the decryption key.
We retain data about you from the creation of your customer account until your request for account deletion. If you do not renew your subscription, 3 months after the suspension, your data is deleted from our production servers. It remains present for another 1 year in our backup archives.
